Privacy Policy for Kalooki Scoring

Last updated: 16 August 2026

Data controller: Oliver Bartlett, United Kingdom (individual developer)

This policy explains how Kalooki Scoring (the “App”) handles information on Apple App Store and Google Play. It is written to meet typical App Store, Google Play, AdMob, UK GDPR / GDPR, and Apple App Tracking Transparency disclosure requirements.

1. What the App does

Kalooki Scoring is an offline scorekeeper for Kalooki and Super Kalooki. You can add player names, record round scores, view a leaderboard and log, and read rules. Scoring works without an account and without an internet connection. Optional ads and an optional one-time in-app purchase require a network connection.

2. We do not run user accounts or our own servers

There is no sign-up, login, or developer-operated cloud database for scores. We do not sell personal information. We do not receive your payment card details.

3. Information stored on your device

The App stores the following locally on your device:

This gameplay data is not sent to Oliver Bartlett. Uninstalling the App deletes local App data. “Start New Game” clears the saved game as described in the App.

4. Advertising (free version, when online)

The free version may display ads through Google AdMob (Google LLC) while the device is online. Ads are not required to keep score. If you are offline, ads may not appear and scoring still works.

Depending on your region, consent choices, and device settings, AdMob and its advertising partners may process:

In the UK, EEA, and Switzerland, the App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform so you can consent to or decline advertising purposes, in line with Google’s EU User Consent Policy.

Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

If you purchase Premium, the App stops requesting ads for that installation (restore purchases after reinstall).

5. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS, Apple may show an App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can tap Allow or Ask App Not to Track. Tracking is used only to help Google AdMob deliver relevant ads (for example, limiting repeated ads). The App continues to work if you decline. You can change this later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Apple may also use SKAdNetwork for privacy-preserving ad attribution. That process is controlled by Apple, not by a developer backend of ours.

6. In-app purchases

Premium is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that removes ads. It is not a subscription. Payment is processed by Apple or Google. We do not see your full payment details. Restore Purchases is available in App Settings.

Google Play / Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

7. Legal bases (UK / EU)

You may have rights under UK GDPR / GDPR to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (or your local EU authority). Because gameplay data stays on your device, the practical way to erase it is to delete the saved game or uninstall the App. For advertising data processed by Google, use Google’s tools and the in-app Privacy options (where shown) as well as device ad settings.

8. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and is not intended as a child-directed product under COPPA or similar rules. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Do not enter names that identify children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and uninstall the App on that device.

9. Your choices

10. Retention and security

Local App data remains on the device until you delete it or uninstall. Google and Apple retain advertising and payment records under their own policies. We do not operate a cloud store of your scores.

11. International transfers

Google and Apple may process information in the United States and other countries. Their contracts and privacy policies apply to that processing.

12. US state privacy notices

We do not sell personal information. We do not share scores with a developer server. Advertising SDKs may process device identifiers for ads as described above. You can opt out of interest-based ads in device settings and, where applicable, using platform privacy tools.

13. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Please review this page after App updates.
